Government Funding for Courses, Training & Qualifications

The Australian Government is committed to supporting Australian Businesses in a globally competitive market place. As a demonstration of the commitment and support, the government is prepared to fund the training and development of employees in a range of courses and occupational outcomes.

This funding is made available on behalf of the Australian Government through the Australian Apprenticeships Program.

How much funding?

Government may fund up to $4,000 to employers for each eligible employee, both new and existing.

  • The funding is paid directly to the employer organisation.
  • Funding is $4,000 per eligible employee paid $1500 on commencement and $2,500 upon completion of the qualification.
  • Why

    The government has recognised the importance of training in ensuring high productivity, efficiencies and competitiveness for Australian Businesses. It is important for business to take advantage of this offer and upskill their staff. This is a targeted government initiative, and the offer of funding and support to businesses may only be available for a limited time. The time to take advantage of this opportunity is now.

    Where

    Upskilleds’ courses are conducted throughout Australia, currently running courses in NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, TAS and Regional Centres. Upskilled’s programs are also offered onsite to organisations who want to host their own course.

    Upskilleds’ courses have commencement dates in different centres throughout the year - please check locations tab or browse through courses for locations and details and to see if they are running in a location near you.

    How

    Upskilleds’ program are delivered by Upskilled’s expert trainers in 8 full one day workshops spread over 12 months, where participants are involved in active discussion, networking, problem solving, and presentations related to building skills and experience in leading and managing staff.

    Eligibility

    There are guidelines that govern the eligibly for funding. An Australian Apprenticeship Centre will work with you to determine your eligibility.

    To assist you in finding out if employees are eligible, employers should submit Upskilled’s Eligibility Form.  Under the advice from an approved AAC, Upskilled will notify you shortly to advise if an employee may be eligible for funding.
