Advanced Diploma of Management

The BSB60407 - Advanced Diploma of Management Management is a methodology developed to meet the growing need for formal qualifications in the management discipline. The program taps into the existing competencies of managers and through a series of workshops and assignments, gives the participants the skills and competencies to successfully manage businesses and people in an ever-changing workplace.

Who Should Attend - Advanced Diploma Of Management

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have senior or managerial responsibilities. They may oversee the work of others or have specialised roles where they do not supervise others but provide strategic leadership.

Advanced Diploma of Management Course Structure

Upskilled Advanced Diploma of Management programs are delivered by Upskilled's expert trainers in 8 full one day workshops (1 day per month) combined with in and out of class assessment and assignment work, where participants are involved in active discussion, networking, problem solving, and presentations related to building skills and experience in leading and managing staff. There will also be a project implemented within the workplace as part of the assessment strategy.

Prerequisites

Candidates may enter the qualification through a number of entry points demonstrating potential to undertake vocational education and training at advanced diploma level, including:

  1. After achieving the BBSB51107 Diploma of Management or other relevant qualification/s OR
  2. Providing evidence of competency in the majority of units required for the BSB51107 Diploma of Management or other relevant qualification/s OR
  3. With substantial vocational experience, in management but without a formal qualification

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Many individuals may already be competent in one or more of the Advanced Diploma of Management (BSB60407) competencies. RPL is available for each Unit of Competency based on relevant workplace experience, formal training or other expertise. Recognition will involve your submission of evidence in a portfolio form to be assessed by Upskilled’s assessors.

Assessment

Assessment is through participation in the 8 structured workshops as well as a project implemented within the workplace, and reported on, in the final ninth session of the Advanced Diploma of Management to the participants’ senior managers. This project emphasizes the implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of processes within all organisations. Participants select, in conjunction with their senior managers, a workplace issue and develop a project to be undertaken over the next 6 – 8 months. The aim is to attempt to analyse and develop a plan to improve the situation. The report will not be assessed on the success of the project implementation, but the methods and processes encountered along the way, and the approaches taken in facing issues.

Inclusions

Upskilled Advanced Diploma of Management courses include detailed learning materials, assessments and certification on successful completion. Morning tea and lunch are also included in the course.

The eight workshops will address the following 8 units of Competence from the National Business Services Training Package. All of these competencies must be successfully completed to gain the Advanced Diploma of Management

Funding and Investment Considerations

Federal Government funding for this qualification is available to existing workers under the Productivity Places Program (PPP).  Refer to our Government Funding page for more information and to check your you're eligible.

Participants undertaking training via PPP will be charged a student administration fee upon enrolment. The fees charged must be in line with TAFE NSW fees and exemption policies. The fees are subject to change.

  2. Upskilled will contact you ASAP to advise if you are eligible (Note: Completion and submission of an PPP Eligibility form will not constitute an enrolment on behalf of the student and will not oblige Upskilled to guarantee a position on any of the courses)

Upskilled Pty Ltd has signed a Co-Provider agreement with Tafe NSW- South Western Sydney Institute. All PPP Courses facilitated by Upskilled will have certificates issue via Tafe NSW- South Western Sydney Institute.
